This has been a very long day. I'm currently stuck on what story I want to work on right now. I want to take a break from Man in Black since it doesn't seem to be attracting that many readers and as fun as that was, I'm lost some of my momentumn. I want to get on something else for a while. I have no idea why people just turn mean and vicious online. I may not agree with everyone, but I respect everyone's right to have an opinion which may or may not differ from my own. There's just no need to be mean.

But yeah, sad to say, too many people have forgotten the old sayings about treating others as you would like to be treated and that one should respect one's elders - actually, one should simply respect other people in general. It's such a shame. People who can do such wonderful things, choose instead to be complete, disrespectful assholes at times.

Exactly!!! This a thousand times. It just makes me tired since more and more people, friends on my FB seem to be becoming completely unhinged. Sad, sad.

Sometimes it's jealousy hon. They wish they could write or they wish their stuff was as good as your stuff. Sometimes people are just nasty because they can be. Don't let them get to you.

Thanks, dear. It's been a weird time because so many of us do rant but I certainly never go on to insult people just because I may not agree with them. Ugh!!! :D

Many people have left famdom because of trolls. People say things online and get away with it because they don't have to look you in the face and say it. They probably wouldn't say stuff to you in person but being anonymous gives them courage to be mean. Don't give them another thought, there are plenty of other people that like you here so just wave goodbye to the troll and don't let them take up anymore of your creative time.

Yeah. It was from a friend, though, which makes it hard because she was ranting but it was, unfortunately, sometimes aimed at me though she probably didn't realize it or didn't care. I would like to think it was the former. Sigh. I unfollowed her because I just can't take all that anymore. That vitriol and hatefulness and viciousness, it's just, not something I need in my life, like you said. It's not healthy. I hope for her sake that she just unplugs too because it certainly can't be good for her to be so angry all the time. And not like that ( ... )

Lol!! So right and it's always something that needs repeating and reminding for us writers. It's been a hard week so this was just kind of like the icing on the cake so to speak. Sigh. Honestly I get so nervous because I tend to compare my work to other amazing authors and I find it lacking. I know that writing and experience allows for growth and betterment of our art but . . . *throws out whine* I want to be awesome now!!! Lol ( ... )
