What can I say? I have a thing for all matters remotely linguistic *g* It kinda struck me that the capital 'D' could indeed stand in for so many concepts that define the SPN 'verse, and Sam's life in particular, in ways that are far from pleasant or hopeful. Yet there's the one concept, powerful enough to literally overrule capital 'D' Death and capital 'D' Devil, and capital 'D' Doom - and that is Dean.

This is, by far, my wishful projection, as the canon narrative is yet to explicate this kind of characterization slant of Sam's to the utmost. There're bits and glimpses, but as a viewr I'd certainly prefer more consistency.
Besides, whenever Sam's attestment of the 'brotherly love' framework is concerned, to my mind, there's bound to be that peculiar 'little-brother' perceptive angle, at least for the time being (I'm not sure how successfully this little drabble managed to pick up on that, though it too was an intent): to focus primarily on how good and nurturing Dean is *to* Sam and *for* Sam, rather than the other way around.
