I've never tried them myself.. but have read about them.. from what I have read from other's experiences is that it's very stimulating.. and that when you do use them, you want to use some lube with them.. you don't want to tear the lining of the urethra when you play.. you can get a nasty UTI from it .. and cleaning them.. from what i've read.. you have to autoclave them..

I play with catheters from time to time. Same issues. At least with a catheter it's supposed to be a one off deal. You have every reason to be cautious. Infections and damage internally are much harder to ID and fix ( ... )

Actually, it helps quite a bit. Some doesn't quite apply, I've never used a cath, but I can tell there must be a few differences from your comments ( ... )

I've done some sounding before. It was an odd mix of feelings for me. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either.

Yikes. Gives me the willies, pardon the pun. Sorry I can't assist but it looks like some others have the info.

Have fun. :)

Re: the black and white picture. The side sticking out is a 9 which means that the inserted portion is a size 8. I'm not sure how those sizes convert to actual circumference/radius measurements but I do know this. I was able to take a size 10 my first time without any problems.

I also know that larger is better than smaller. The larger sounds are more blunt and therefore less likely to poke/scrape when inserted.

Chase Union has quite a bit of equipment and information about sounds.

Have fun, and be sure to piss when you're done.
