...frustrated? It's weird! Because like... there are many things about ZEX that really do appeal to David's tastes in people. Not only physically, but like... okay he's military and he clearly is like whateva whateva I do what I want
but then also they bicker all the time and David's not really sure he remembers why, just that it's really easy to keep doing it.
And that frustrates him a lot. Like YOU HAVE ALL THE TRAPPINGS OF SOMEONE I SHOULD LIKE. WHY IS THIS HARD
though on the other hand he knows if something terrible were happening in Camp, ZEX would be one of the most reliable people he could turn to.
Ah, she thought he was very nice! Though she was also sort of convinced she must have instantly lost the dating game, since Kanji only asked her one question. So she was more like... neurotically focused on what she could have messed up so badly so quickly-- but nothing about Kanji himself was upsetting ;3;
Itachi is totally David's BFF.He is the person he goes to for talking about any problems he has, and he knows Itachi will understand and try and help, and not judge him for whatever it is, or how he's reacting or the path he chooses to deal with it. Itachi has sort of taken over the spot that David's generals filled, in Athlum -- someone who David honestly feels like he can be himself around, and admit he has flaws and moments of selfishness, etc.
David isn't really...sure where he stands with Victor. Like, they're friends he's pretty sure. But also they were dating when Victor left and they obviously aren't now, and he's not ...sure if he should ever mention that or just leave it as it is. It's not like mentioning it would make things LESS awkward, since it's not like David is currently available...
but he still finds Victor super charming and likes talking to him :>
WELL, I was assuming the "I'm not exactly available" talk would have happened when they remet at the accidental walling post BUT we are free to actually play that out if you want?
even though sometimes you are selfish and self-centered and kind of over-dramatic and extremely pessimistic.
There have definitely been times when David has been frustrated beyond belief with Raphael, but he thinks it's encouraging that no matter what he does, that doesn't change how much David loves him. He's hoping that if he can remain constant in that, he'll slowly be able to coax Raphael into some, um, better personal habits.Like not sitting alone in his room for weeks when something bad happens. For instance.
He's also kind of (unsure), lately, because of the thing a while ago in Shikamaru's post where Raph asked him out of the blue if they should take a break, or if David would rather be with Itachi -- because as far as David knew they were perfectly happy and doing fine together. So he's not... confident any more that he can read Raphael, or the tone of their relationship. So he's just kind of...wary.
