IT IS OK I WILL RAMBLE BACK

Shuri has had a minor crush on David ever since that time with mistletoe where David was like "actually I think you're pretty nice, I liked that thanks" which IS A RARITY for Shuri. Especially from someone that Shuri isn't already close to. Shuri is used to being the (largely unsuccessful) pursuer rather than the pursued, so having David say something like that without any prompting THREW HIM FOR A LOOP. So since then he has been dere and so that is why he will do things like DAVID, I WILL MAKE YOU MILLEFEUILLE, SO THAT YOU CAN LIKE ME THE MOST~~But that was still on the level where like you said, they're both nobility and both putting up fronts, Shuri's only trying to do what he thinks David wants him to do, he doubts the degree of David's sincerity, etc. Having David stroll into his mind is a big important thing, because that's something he's apprehensive about showing to even the people that are closest to him, and "searching through the facades to find the true self" is his current personal project.

As far as expectations and standards go, David definitely... has his way of responding to things, knows how he would do things, but he’s also very aware that his situation is kind of unique and that not a lot of people can (or should) be able to approach things the way he does -- so absolutely he’s going to let Shuri... fumble his way towards his own answers, and he wants to help and be there and be supportive, but he also doesn’t want to be responsible for any of that; he knows that being anyone else’s Reason is a terrible idea, because what happens if ...that person goes away? He is very much of the ‘your friends will support you as much as they can but everyone has to stand on their own two feet, etc.’ mindset

Anyway, I don't think his relationship with Taiki is much different but IF IT IS go on and talk at me. I am interested in David and Pell, though, since they have gotten a lot closer lately. I'm not sure when it happened, either. :|a

A lot of things have changed, really! The time-moving thing is the big one, yeah, and how it has affected David -- mostly in that his ability to respond to things in a reasonable and responsible way is slipping more and more, which only makes him more frustrated. He has, however, reached the point where he is willing to talk to people about his problems and his fears, which is a big step

Taiki remains one of David’s favorite people -- he’s easy to talk to, and cares about him clearly and they have fun together, even though it is a quiet and understated kind of fun. He never really feels like Taiki is expecting things from him, one way or the other, regarding being marquis-like or not, like other people can, and so Taiki is a very relaxing presence for him.

I don’t think much has changed for them, lately, except that David knows/thinks that Taiki and ZEX are dating?

Most of David’s new thoughts on Dairine are related to his not coping lately -- he feels terrible that he shut her out like that, and while he is a little frustrated at her response, he also thinks it was perfectly reasonable, really. David believes very heavily in treating others how they ask to be treated, and honestly he was acting like a stubborn unreasonable child, so it was reasonable for her to react to him like that. She is certainly under no obligation to be any more mature or reasonable than he is at any given time AND he knows she was right and only trying to take care of him. But David hates hates hates being told he’s wrong/being unreasonable, and gets sort of petty and snappy when it happens, which only ever makes it worse.

So basically he knows he needs to track her down and be like I’m sorry you were right and I was wrong and by the way thank you for caring and trying to get me to take care of myself, you’re so much more adult than I am sometimes. ;3;

impressions on Zidane?

I don’t think I did! David likes Road well enough -- he is miserable at games, but is trying to learn and it’s cute that she is willing to help him out there. He is used enough to the Noah and Hatter to be able to roll with her kind of creepy loli thing she’s got going on, and he’s got an advanced enough sense of awareness that he can tell she’s not exactly a sweet and innocent little girl -- really, he knows that about all the Noah, just not specifically what it is that they should be doing. David is also very... practical, about people, sometimes, and so even knowing they are dangerous he is wiling to give them a chance -- all of the Noah are interesting, in their own ways, and are clearly useful as allies; he’ll not push them away just because they might one day be bad, or be bad in their own universe, etc. That would chance if they were to directly hurt someone David cared deeply for, but until then, he thinks they are charming and likes them
