(Not that I have a plan for any of this, but) I'm thinking about making the background have to do with their "hero" modes in order to identify them better to a more casual observer. My style is very not graphic, but a lot of the background ideas I've got at the moment are, so part of the challenge is figuring out how to resolve that. I also know that I want to re-do these portraits on either grey or black paper to help with shading and to correct the scale differences that I artificially corrected in this image. It's the kind of thing that could either take just a few hours if I get suddenly inspired, or I could end up laboring for months on it. x-P
I realized I was also creating sort of a "left=past, right=future" dynamic. With Jon staring straight ahead - that is awesome. I always love your art, it's so carefully done.
IKR? Drawing him scared me to death/drove me nuts 'cos he's only in, like, three pages in the GN pre-accident as an adult and I really wanted to just let him be human for a moment.
Eddie was the last one I drew, and he sort of wrapped it all up like that. :D
and yeah, anxious Dan is pretty hot, which is likely why he got stuck in my head... xD
