DC Still Planning Watchmen Sequel?

Remember the rumors that DC Comics is planning a Watchmen sequel, without Alan Moore's involvement?

Would these be Minutemen comics? Since we see so little of the Minutemen in the GN, I actually wouldn't mind that happening at all. But I'd pretty much just view them as fanfiction.

Is this going to be part of the "New 52" roll-out? Will we get to see Eddie and Sally banging on a rooftop? How about Nite Owl/Rorschach? :3

I agree with lady_wormtongue. I wouldn't mind Minutemen comics at all. In fact, I'd be all over them like peanut butter on toast.

A sequel, otoh, would imho ruin the wonderful open ending the comics have.

I agree on absolutely epic squee if there are gonna be Minutemen comics. And my mind remains open to anything else they might do.
