So guys, I have an idea, let me know if this interests you:
A collection of thank-you notes/messages to Jackie in book format from you guys. Scan in hand-written notes will make the messages more personal. I'll design the book format and post for your approval. I'll put the messages together and print the book with money out of my own pocket. Then I'll hopefully be able to give the book to Jackie at the signing in San Antonio next week. (Which means this is kind of short-notice...but I'm willing to try if enough people are interested in this.)
What do you think? Would anyone be interested in this? And of course these messages would be open to any Jackie fans not just limited to this community, but the focus of the messages will be on his wonderful portrayal of Rorschach. Feel free to mention his other films, but we want to keep it focused on our gratitude for bringing Rorschach to life on the screen.

Update: Judging by people's responses, this project is a go! I'll need SCANNED messages sent to me via email by NOON 10pm CST, TUESDAY MARCH 24, though I prefer to have these by Monday Tuesday morning in case there are complications. BUT THE SOONER THE BETTER! Just text messages can be left in comments on this post, or emailed to me if you prefer. Wednesday I'll be printing/binding the book. Remember you can write messages by hand and scan them, but it doesn't have to be hand-written, it can just be text. Be advised the dimensions for the book are 8x8 inches, so make sure your message is short enough to fit! If you have a longer message, it might be best to just give text and send me a handwritten signature or something that I can include with your text message.
OH! Please include a name and location (can be city, state, or just state) so he knows how far and wide his fanbase is :) And spread the word to any friends/communities you think might be interested in submitting a messaage.
