I also liked that you gave Jenks that fatherly personnality and really delved into the instincts that we all know he has in the books, but that's never exactly fully depicted
Exactly! Jenks is a dad to dozens of kids, and we saw how he handled Jax and how he deals with Rachel. He's usually protective of Rachel and mistrustful of Ivy, specially in the early books, but he can also be very objective and blunt. I wanted some of that in this chapter.
And it's so goddamn adorable how Rachel becomes all defensive when she learns that there's a chance that the vampire had finally gotten over her.
That was so much fun to write! It's like we're always waiting for Rachel to come to her senses. But in RL, how long would a smart, beautiful woman keep banging her head against a wall before trying to move on?
