Blood: The Last Vampire - can you say subtext?

For me that ended today with, of all things, Blood: The Last Vampire. Now ordinarily, a live action remake of an anime about a hybrid human/vampire, who’s spent centuries hunting down blood-hungry demons that disguise themselves as people, doesn’t exactly scream subtext possibilities, right? Wow...I just watched this movie due to your mentioning the subtext and I have to thank you SO much...I go through the same thing you do, hunting for any good subtext and coming up with little to none. This was a very nice surprise.

It surprised me too! At first I thought it would simply be a remake of the anime, and if it had been just that it would've been pretty bad. But the subtext was fun. ;)

I loved this movie, and one our after watch it I was loking for fics...but i only found those that you signaled =(

But really, the subtext is basically pre-slash, you can almost see how saya will return tu alice and be happy together hehehe.

Come to think of it you're right, it is pre-slash! Subtext is usually about subtle signs but Saya and Alice were throwing so many signals, in any other movie they would've been kissing by the end.

Can't find any other fics either. =( Wish extremepiercing would continue Pretentious.

That's exactly what I thought, is un fair really, has saya or alice been male, the movie would have had at least a kiss.

But, well, hollywood is like that *sighs*
