Seiha English School

If you ever want to work in Japan, be very, very careful who you work for. Eikaiwas are generally a bad bunch (there are probably some good ones out there... Somewhere...) but Seiha has really proven to be one of the worst. Here's why:

1) Long travel times. They have their foreign teachers working at multiple schools, and those schools can be very ( Read more... )

Hello, Seiha. I am not entirely surprised to see you commenting on my journal as I have seen you have to stand up to defend yourself on forum websites (though I am surprised to see you on a personal journal). The reason you have to defend yourself so often is, I'm afraid, because what I say is very true ( ... )

Okay, one more thing, because it's going to bother me. You may not ever get this but I feel like I need to at least say it. I would message you but apparently you disabled that. And yeah, it's awkward to say all this but it's very important ( ... )

I made a mistake. I shouldn't have commented on your post. I know people like you are always right. Right? And the fact at the end of the day is, there are more teachers working, contently, at Seiha than there are bitching and whinging on the internet.

And sorry. Didn't read your reply. It's too long.
Have a nice life.

Ooh a passive-aggressive post in an anonymous comment! This guy just keeps earning points! Oh well, I think every comment you make brings this post higher up on the search results, and you haven't made some crazy Hitler comparison yet, so who am I to complain ( ... )

But seriously, thanks for the heads up about this company. I was tempted to apply until I saw how few days off are given. Thats enough to have me running for the hills.

Haha yeah you're right XD

I'm glad to hear that. :-) There are good eikaiwas out there, it's just hard to find them. It's best to go for small, independently-owned schools, but even then it's a mixed bag. Aeon has been good to some of my friends, bad for others, so that's kind of luck-of-the-draw too... My current ALT job is epic but it can be difficult to find an ALT position that pays enough. I went through etas-net, if that helps.
Good luck!!
