Summary:
When Kim Jaejoong’s parents presented him with a marriage contract, Jaejoong promptly refused and was willing to pay for “damages for failing to perform the contractual promise”. Why?! He did it in the name of love! He was in love with his boyfriend and was willing to do anything for him. With that firm mindset, Jaejoong did not even wait to hear who he was marrying or take a look at the picture of his future husband before he ran out on his parents.
When Jung Yunho encountered the same problem, he immediately disagreed with the arranged marriage. Unlike Jaejoong, he stayed long enough to hear from his parents that the one he was to marry was actually his lover! His happiness could not even be measured at that particular moment, only to be shattered when the Kim parents entered their manor.
Apparently… Jaejoong opposed.

“WHAT?! Married?!” Jaejoong shouted at the top of his lung as he registered the information presented to him.
Married?! MARRIED?!
NO. WAY.
Even though the obedient boy always listened to his parents, there’s absolutely NO WAY he was going to agree with this one.
“Yes Jaejoong, married. And no, you can’t refuse!” Mr. Kim explained calmly.
“WHY EVER NOT?!” Jaejoong asked.
Of course he would ask! There MUST be a way to get out of this! He can’t just get married to some random guy while…
“Jaejoong, this is a contracted marriage. Breaking the contract would mean paying for damages for failing to perform the contractual promises.”
Jaejoong stood there dumbfounded as he watched Mr. Kim explain. His eyebrow rose slightly as he tried to figure the meaning of those words and why he was NOT able to get out of this marriage.
Apparently Mrs. Kim noticed her son’s expression and quickly took the role to enlighten, “Honey, that means we would have to pay a lot for compensation.”
Jaejoong looked at his mother.
Frowned.
“Then why can’t we just pay the compensation?!” He yelled.
His parents looked pained.
“Well Jaejoong, The compensation amount isn’t slight. It’ll take most to all of our money.” Mr. Kim explained.
“But I can’t get married!!! I’m in love!!! And I REFUSE to marry some random guy because of a stupid contract! I’ll pay for the damage even if I have to spend my life doing it!” Jaejoong screamed and ran out of his house.
In the name of love, he refused.
He was willing to sacrifice the rest of his life’s earnings so he could get out of this contracted love.
Yet he failed to realize he had made a very silly mistake… He didn’t even wait to hear who he was contracted to marry.
His lover better be happy to know what Jaejoong was willing to do for him.

Meanwhile, in a Manor that was miles away from the Kim Manor, Jung Yunho was also ready to disagree with his parents.
Get married?!
Without his love?!
Because of a CONTRACT?!
There’s absolutely NO WAY he would do that!
So that’s why he answered his parents with a firm “NO.” as they presented him with the contract information.
Of course he would say no. He was deeply in love as well!
Mr. Jung signed and looked down to the floor. He then explained with a fallen expression plastered on his face. “Son, we can’t afford to not fulfill the contract agreement. We are in need of money or else we’ll go bankrupt.”
“But I can’t get married! I’m in love!” Yunho quickly took the opportunity to explain his position.
Mr. and Mrs. Jung were shocked.
They didn’t know! And they definitely don’t want to ruin Yunho’s chance of happiness…
…Even if it meant bankruptcy.
They looked at each other and communicated their troubles through their eyes, and shook their head.
“I guess there’s nothing else we can do… After all, love is love, and it’s a shame to let it slide.” Mr. Jung voiced out their opinion.
A happy smile quickly made its way across Yunho’s face as he received his parents’ permission to get out of this contract and to stay with the one he loved.
“… Hopefully the Kims are going to go easy on us.” His dad continued as he voiced out his worries.
‘Kims? Kim?!’ Yunho pondered.
Um…
Who exactly was he suppose to marry through the contract?
Mrs. Jung sighed at the outcome. “It’s rather sad; their son is a very lovely person. Kim Jaejoong would have been a good spouse for Yunho.”
WHAT?!
WHAT…
WHAT!!!??!
OH WOULD HE?!
Of course Kim Jaejoong would make a good spouse for Yunho! If he dare to say so himself.
Yunho grinned at his mom’s words as he thought about his lovely Jaejoong as his spouse.
But wait…
KIM JAEJOONG?!
That was he was supposed to marry?!
Yunho hit his head, not so lightly, due to his stupidity.
“Son, are you alright?!” His parents were worried at his sudden violent action.
“MOM! DAD!! Was Jaejoong the one I’m suppose to marry through the contract?!” Yunho asked.
Mr. and Mrs. Jung looked puzzled at Yunho’s sudden outburst, but the slowly nodded their head to confirm his question.
Oh wow.
‘I was going to have to marry Jaejoong, the love of my life, and I disagreed? How stupid can I get?’ Yunho bashed himself.
“Yunho, is something wrong?” Mrs. Jung asked.
Yunho quickly nodded. “Mom, Jaejoong is the one I’m in love with!”
In matter the second his parents took to register the news, their faces brightened into the happiest smiles.
The three Jungs looked at each other.
And all three of them burst out in to hysterical laughter.
They were relieved.
Jungs would not face bankruptcy, and Yunho would get to marry the one he loved! How great can life get?!

Or so they thought…
Until Mrs. Kim’s loud cries froze them to their spot.
“Mrs. Jung! What am I to do?! My Jaejoong disagreed!” Mrs. Kim threw herself into Mrs. Jung’s embrace, and cried feverishly.
Mr. Kim also entered the manor following his wife, with the most saddened expression on his face.
Yunho’s heart stopped.
Just a second ago he was happy that he was going to be marrying the love of his life… but that very same person disagreed?!
“He said he had someone he loved! So he refused!” Mrs. Kim’s wailing continued.
‘He loves someone else?! That’s why he disagreed to marry me?!’ Yunho couldn’t breath as his face paled.
“He said he would even pay the compensation if it took him the rest of his life!” Mrs. Kim’s cries worsened.
Yunho felt as if his heart has been taken out and brutally stomped on. ‘He was willing to do all that for someone else that he loved? Instead of being married to me?’
He felt his world turn upside down in the very instance.
What did he do to deserve this?!
The one he loved was doing all this for someone else?
“We didn’t even get a chance to tell him he was going to marry Yunho.” Mr. Kim puffed in disappointment.
Wait…
He didn’t know he was going to marry me?!
HE DIDN’T KNOW?!
‘That’s why he disagreed!!! Just like I had before I had known he was the one I was to marry!’
Once again, Yunho’s world turned right side up, as a smile brightened his features.
‘That silly Jaejoong! At least he could have waited to hear who he was to marry!’ Yunho was amused at Jaejoong’s actions. After all, Jaejoong was willing to do all that just for him!!!
Oh how delighted Yunho felt at that moment.

“What are we to do now?! We don’t even know where he went…” Mr. Kim asked.
Suddenly Yunho’s phone rang, to which he hurriedly picked up.
“…Hello? Yunho?” The caller’s melodic voice reached Yunho’s ears.
Yet Yunho could hear the trouble buried within the voice which the caller tried his very best to hide. Of course Yunho could hear it, after all this was the love of his life talking to him. And Yunho smiled at the thought that he just might know what troubled his love.
“Can we meet Yunho, I have something to tell you.” The caller said.
To which Yunho quickly answered. “Where are you?! I have something to tell you too.”
Yunho didn’t know the worries he sent to the caller with his words. He quickly took note of the location they were to meet and hurried to the beach his lover awaits.

When Jaejoong heard Yunho say “I have something to tell you too”… somehow it didn’t sit well with his mind.
Aren’t those the very words someone says when he wants to break up?! “I have something to tell you…” and then goes on saying how things aren’t going to work out, and so they should… end it…
Is that what’s going to happen!?
Was Yunho coming to break up with him?!
After all he had done… opposing the arranged marriage… and willing to pay for the compensation for breaking the contract?!
He was so worried by the time Yunho arrived that he failed to see the goofy smile Yunho was sporting.
After quick greetings, Jaejoong hurriedly asked. “What is it that you want to tell me?!” He prayed to heavens that his worries were no doubt stupid.
“You go first.” Yunho quickly replied.
Jaejoong took a deep breath.
“My parents want me to get married to someone through a contract.” Jaejoong paused to see Yunho’s expression. He hoped that Yunho would shout out an objection, and thus inform Jaejoong that his worries were indeed very very stupid.
Though what he got was very much the opposite of what he had hoped.
Yunho had an understanding expression that troubled Jaejoong, and he definitely did not shout for Jaejoong to oppose the marriage.
Something was wrong.
Was this it?!
Did Yunho really come here to break up with him?
“I objected though… and told them I would pay for the compensations for breaking the contract…” Jaejoong continued slowly, praying that maybe after knowing what Jaejoong did for him, Yunho wouldn’t break up with him.
And so, Jaejoong closed his eyes, awaiting a response.
‘Please don’t let him break up with me! I love him!’ Jaejoong plead in his thoughts.
Then it came. The very simple response. “I know.”
Jaejoong looked into Yunho’s eyes.
What?!
Jaejoong was obviously confused.
He knows?!
What the heck?!
“Maybe you should marry that person.” Yunho voiced out ever so firmly.
Jaejoong’s world shattered.
‘So he does want to break up with me! He even wants me to marry someone else!’ Jaejoong’s mind was screaming while his heart was breaking.
“But… I don’t even know who that person is!” Jaejoong blurted out truthfully, desperately hoping Yunho was only joking with him, and that in matter of seconds Yunho would bring him into his arms telling him he didn’t mean any of it, and that he loved him as well…
Hopeful wishes…
“Are you sure about that?!” Yunho asked.
“Huh?” Jaejoong was confused.
Of course he was sure he didn’t know who he was supposed to marry.
… Or was he?!
That’s when he realized, he never found out from his parents who his spouse was supposed to be!
Upon seeing Jaejoong’s puzzled look, the way he pouts so cutely while turning his head a little to the side as if in deep contemplation, Yunho could not resist his lover any longer.
So he quickly brought Jaejoong into a hug, and laughed at his cuteness and stupidity.
All the while, Jaejoong’s mind was getting clouded as it could get, he was as perplexed as ever.
What exactly was going on?!
“Oh Jae, you are too silly.” Yunho voiced out. “Are you sure you want to cancel the marriage?”
Jaejoong quickly nodded his head.
Yunho continued. “Are sure you don’t want to be married to me?!”
Jaejoong quickly nodded his head again… and then abruptly started shaking his head as he comprehended Yunho’s words.
WHAT?!
MARRIED TO YUNHO?!
…Wait…
WHAT?!
‘Of course I want to marry Yunho! That’s my dream!! That’s why I got out of the contract!’ Jaejoong thought.
And THEN, it dawned on him.
His big round eyes widened as looked searchingly into Yunho’s twinkling eyes and slowly pointed to himself, “the contract… I was supposed to marry… you?” he then pointed to Yunho.
At which Yunho laughed wholeheartedly again and nodded his head in confirmation. His love was just too cute to resist!
Taking full advantage of Jaejoong’s puzzled state, and the sun that was ready to set, Yunho kneeled down while a brilliant red hue spread across the plane where the ocean and the sky meet.
“Will you, Kim Jaejoong, marry me?” Yunho asked, while taking out black velvet box and opening them to reveal the most beautiful engagement rings.
“AHHHH!!!!!” came Jaejoong screamed reply, and then he ran around the beach shouting, “Yunho asked me to marry him!!!!” He jumped and danced happily across the sandy floor.
Yunho hurried after his lovely happy soon-to-be spouse and took him into his arms.
Yunho looked lovingly into Jaejoong’s eyes, while the latter blushed at the close embracement. “So will you marry me?!”
“YES YES YES! Of course I will!” Jaejoong answered, throwing his arms around Yunho’s neck as Yunho reached down to capture Jaejoong’s enticing red lips that were curled up in a happy smile.
