Title: Crash Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: Not mine, not real. Characters/Pairings: Sam, Dean. No pairing. Word Count: 3,580 Summary: Dean comes home drunk and Sam pays the price.
I love "dripping with guilt". In my mind, it's not only a believable metaphor (it makes sense), but I've never heard/read it before, and...it makes me think of the ice pack on Sam's jaw.
It's...telling of the brotherly relationship when Dean's voice is breaking. The entire story shows me Dean's love for Sam, and Sam's deep, semi-idolizing respect for him.
This is gonna sound like major sucking up, but you're a very talented writer, and that's not news to me! (gcfanfics) The Rancid song lyrics that showed me Tim Armstrong's smarts were "Roots Radicals", "Life Won't Wait", & "Red Hot Moon". The only CD of theirs I own is "...and Out Come the Wolves", but I have many more of Rancid's songs than that. I think their sound is unique, and it's due in huge part to Armstrong & his lyrics, man. Most definitely.
Awww, I love the last line, so sweet. And I'm kinda glad Sam let Dean have it. Dean should have more responsibitily than that. And the whole thing about Dean not thinking Sam cares as much about him as much he does Sam is so freakin true. I've always thought that. Oh and I agree with xraraavisx. 'Dripping with guilt' is an awesome way to put it. ;D
