If I ever do this, I know the first three things I'll put on my list:
1. camera
2. bottle of whiskey
3. small toy duck

Have a great time, I'm glad you have people to stay with, and do check in because I have no idea how I'd contact a search party over there.

Now have USB modem for the Eee as my pay-as-you-go phone is rubbish at the webbby stuff. So regular updates should be no problem.

Well, I'm currently in geek heaven. Writing this from a train (which has no wireless access. Hurrah for USB modems!

Shame about the lack of plug socket for power though. I shall enjoy my surfing while it lasts...
