Badger!

I picked up my replacement bike and took it for a night ride in Richmond Park. Just after the top of Dark Hill (the hill near Kingston Gate) I saw something big run across the road (but it didn't look like a fox). They are really quite big and quicker than I thought they would be. I had no idea they had them in the Park, although one guy I know saw one on Priory Lane on his way to the Park a few weeks back. It bared it's teeth at him and looked quite fierce he reported.

It's funny, despite living in a semi-rural area as a child I never saw half of the wild things that I've seen in London.

Wild Things seen in London that I wouldn't have expected:

Foxes*
Badger
Beaver (in the wetlands centre so doesn't count)
Eels
Kestrels
Buzzards
Peregrines
Little Egret
Cormorants
Great Crested Grebe (loads)
Voles
Bats
Parakeets

*Ok they are everywhere now but I wouldn't have ever expected to see one back home.
