Whiskey can steal memories from people and implant them in her own mind. The act of taking these memories removes them from the mind of whoever she took them from.

She can also implant memories in your mind. Either memories that are her own, which she will then lose, or memories that she's taken from other people. Or, if you've been an unfortunate ( Read more... )

If you take a memory from her, River will probably thank you... just not any of her earlier ones. Oh yeah, chances are, unless Whiskey digs, all she'll find are other people's memories and ... pain ;;

Logistically, idk how it would work since River's mind is so chaotic. If it ever comes up plot-wise, let's talk. :3 River probably wouldn't be able to actively block given that ... well, she can't really do anything actively with any consistency. ;;

I'd think that Alpha would be a mixed bag. It'd be tougher to get to some of the memories because his mind is constantly going in and out of different personalities. Though, I think if he chooses to focus and allow Whiskey to have a memory, she'd be able to take it.

But as for implanting memories in his mind, feel free! His brain can probably stretch and accept a whole lot...whether he's willing or not.

Yes!

She doesn't tend to use her ability on people she knows without them asking.

Taking memories from her is probably not that easy to do, since her mind and memories are sort of buffered from change, due to her time travel. Time restructuring so that things literally happened differently doesn't affect her (or to a lessened rate, depending on the severity of it), and it's possible that her familiarity with perception filters, that work by implanting telepathic suggestions and memories that "this has always been this way, ignore it" might make her a bit resistant to the implanting.

Either one, I assume Whiskey could do if she tried hard enough, but there would be resistance, and as far as removal, it's possible someone like the Doctor could talk them back.
