Prompt: 081 How?
POV: Jeremy Morgan
Rating: G
Summary: Jer is musing... and staring. How long until Perry tells him to go away I wonder...
Jeremy steepled his hands, his elbows on the kitchen table and his nose almost touching his fingertips as he peered out over them at his cousin.
The older man had been acting odd for the past several days, and currently Jer was just trying to place his finger on how.
The inherent problem in this was that Pear was always odd by most definitions. He was just odd for him now.
Or maybe Jer was just being silly. He knew the man was ADD. Most people didn't, but he was family, and ADD himself, kindred spirits and all that... or maybe he'd just been told it ran in the family and given a list of examples. Who really cared anyway?
Thing was--and Jer wasn't even sure how it had come to pass--Pear tended to come across as far more focused and... obsessive. He was obsessed with something now. Something that wasn't one of the cars being repaired.
It was one of the moments that made him almost doubt he was ADD, except in how he obsessed. He would jump from page to page in the folder he was skimming, tracking some sort of information in a haph-hazard fashion that whoever had arranged the file clearly had not intended.
Really. He was familiar with that though. The man had brought work home before, skimmed through it back and forth. Something was different with him this time.
Seriously different. And Jer had a feeling in a very very bad way.
He just wished he knew how.
