Are you happy with what you're doing for college right now? Do you feel like you're missing out by not going to a regular four-year for all four years?

I ask because I'm considering doing the same thing next year and I'd like to hear from someone who's doing the community > transfer thing.

...I'm really scared about the future.

I ... never got a notification for this. I'm really sorry! Let's hope you've got a watch on it or something.

Mm ... Yeah, I do, a little. More at the beginning than I do now - I was disappointed to miss out on the dorm experience, and on the whole settling process people seem to do in their first year or two at college, especially when they're living in a new city. I resented the few friends I was in contact with for making new friends and having what I felt were more options than I did.

But you know? I started actually liking things better this way, missed experiences or not. I know everyone says to get involved with extracurricular activities to make friends, and I know it sounds really unrealistic and unlikely, but, um, then I started going to poetry slams, and I started talking to people there. Now my entire life is pretty much centered on that community and the people I've met through it. I've also made friends in my classes, which is kind of a first for me ( ... )
