She cuddled into the cover a little when he moved and smiled a little when she heard his voice. She turned onto her back, the bruise a deep purple on her cheek and she smiled 'Morning.'
'No, he doesn't just vanish. Snake isn't an Angel. He is merged with the Anti-christ.'
Aggie looked away from him and laid on her back once more, 'I don't have wings any more. I gave my powers to Snake so that he can heal others. His friends, some of them would have died without him having the powers.' Closng her eyes she let out a breath, 'and I need to decide whether I want to go back to what I was.'
The Antichrist! Swan gives her a surprised look and then laughs.
Is that why he keeps blowing up buildings?
Swan didn't know what the hell she was talking about but he could see it upset her. Rolling over he laid his head in the sand next to hers and put an arm around her.
'Maybe that is why he does yes, that and the fact he hates the government.'
She opened her eyes and looked at him, 'If I was an Angel still I would not be laying here with you. There would be no kisses, no nothing. I would have no feelings for myself. I would not be happy or sad because that is how I feel. I would react to how people are, how they feel. There are different orders of Angel and I am one of the lowest ones.' She closed her eyes, 'If I went back, all of this would mean nothing.'
Swan smiled but it faded as she spoke. He still didn't understand but he knew she believed what she said. Sighing heavily he proped himself up on his elbow looking down at her curiously. Don't you miss having things better then this?
He touched her cheek again where it was bruised. An Angel deserves something better then the streets and living under a pier.
Swan laid back on the sand again. His thoughts turned to Mercy and he hoped she was better off now. She deserved better as did the woman laying beside him. The streets was not a life a woman should have to live.
She glanced up at him, 'Maybe you and Snake could get together and work out what I need to know, I know he's worried too, but I just don't want to stop seeing you.'
'Maybe you wont if I am there.' She leaned in close to him, 'Swan...please...if you could just talk, you might be able to be in the same place as one another without beating each other up.'
Swan shrugged. Maybe and maybe I'd have to run again. Swan shook his head. He and I, we will never get along. This is my island and he thinks it is his island. I can't relent because they might turn on me and he won't give in because of you and the rest that live here.
'You are a part of my life and so is he, and there are times when I will want both of you to be in the same place as I am...couldn't you just try, for me?'

She smiled at him as he touched her cheek, 'I'm out here to be with you...and if you'd let me I would take you away from all of this.'

I can't be taken away from this. If Plissken is your brother or your friend you understand why.
