Das construction never stopped. It just kept on, and on, and on. . . and about 12:30 a.m. this morning, when the backhoe had backed its' beeping way to the construction rubbish bin outside my window and dumped lengths of rail and chunks of concrete for the 27th time, I called the cops ( Read more... )

Not that they've EVER come out and said, sorry. The very nice guy from the police department, on the other hand, assures me they won't be doing this again at the intersection on the other end of my block. . .
