Ami’s eyes widened in horror as she arrived at the conclusion he had been easing her towards. “That’s why everyone is asleep?”

OH MY GOD.

Your Rei/Jadeite had SLAYED ME DEAD.

OH MY GOD

I don't know what it is, but each time you write something in this verse, it gets better and better and better. This is one of my favourite CT verses. This is amazing and beautiful and complex! The characters! Their relationships with each other! EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING is beautiful and fantastic and so clever and inspired.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Just wow. WOW.

YAY!!! Thanks bunches, Charlie :) You are a champion writer of Rei/Jadeite so I am very happy about your reaction. Also I am so flattered to hear that TTL is one of your favourite CT verses. After writing the first Ficathon entry, I thought it was a oneshot on the road to nowhere because where would I go with such a fraught situation? Hopefully everything will continue to move along here. Thank you thank you!!

And BAMM! Plot.

I love the idea of the palace as a a power drainer, of how it feeds off everyone and only those with supernatural abilities are able to still function (more or less) normally and of course, how it took Jadeite, a former evil overlord who stole energy himself, to figure it out and tell Ami.

Perfect, absolutely perfect. This slight note of defensiveness, how it is clear that Ami is more worried about the people around them, about her sisters, than the recently returned shitennou's ability to access Elysion. Because Elysion is not a part of the senshi's life, it's a part of Mamoru's and that is apparently a bridge that is yet to be crossed. Brilliant.

Also:
his scarred palms upwards.
What an image. He who plays with fire has been burned.

And then there's the second part, the sleeping part. Oh Christ on a cracker. You slayed me there. You start with Minako, She always knew when Minako cried herself to sleep and ( ... )

Oh Lytton. Thank you so much for reading and your wonderful comments!

Yes, plot. It manages to sneak in just when I least expect it to. Jadeite's a handy person to have around -- in addition to the fact that he's just so hard to get rid of. I would've expected Ando to perish at least a zillion times now, but resilience seems to be part of his makeup.

Insert comforting pictures of puppies and chocolate. They are here in spirit. Really!!
