Yes, I'm sure a lot of people think Obama's a wonderful person and all, but it's not as if he's actually done anything to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. He's given a lot of nice speeches, hasn't closed Guantanamo, hasn't pulled out of Iraq, is continuing to fight a war in Afghanistan with heavy civilian casualities, and has not achieved anything

I personally give him kudos for his speech (at least the parts I heard). It's not his fault he was given the award. (I may be a reactionary, but I try to be fair :D)

"The award is supposed to honor merit," Given the honorees, and many who never received the award, I would submit to you that when it did it was mostly coincidental.

Have you seen the video "The Imam and the pastor"? Now there are two people who have done something toward peace.
