My copy of Vols 1 and 2 of The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes has just turned up and what it lacks in portability it makes up for in beauty.

That is beautiful *wibbles with you*

Unfortunately my Complete Works is none so pretty. It's a Gutenberg version on Stanza on my iPhone. However, what it lacks in pretty, it makes up for in portability. I always have Watson and Holmes in my pocket. That makes me happy.

I am so going back to the bookstore I went to in Euston that had an A5-sized Complete Sherlock Holmes complete with beautiful lithographic illustrations and making it my own ♥

I think I am possibly more jealous of you having this than that you also have the DVD! Roll on my birthday...

...oh, that is just stunning. I'm sitting here thinking, yes, no matter what the incarnation, that is true. As distanced as I am from the original canon, I can't help but be moved by it.

Lovely isn't it? I think that's what I love about Mofattiss's Sherlock - their evident /love/ for SH and JW (and Lestrade and Mycroft and Mrs H...)

I sometimes just gaze at it - occasionally caressing the pages.

I only have the first two vols - do you have the third as well?
