cranky baby

Apr 18, 2007 18:08

It's April 18th, and it's 44 degrees outside  (that's 7 degrees Celsius).  And I have a cold, complete with chills and that nasty whole-body-ache feeling.  And my nose/sinuses hate me, because the right side of my nose won't stay decongested for more than maybe 20 minutes, and the left side keeps running, and the left side of my throat is that ( Read more... )

Ms.Elisa,

Grandma and Joyce send their love and hope you feel better soon.

I send my love and hope you feel better and less cranky soon. Roxy sends several wet licks on the back of my hand and a meowr. (She came over and stood on the arm of my chair as I was writing this and seemed to want to put in her own comment.) Now she's climbing headfirst into the Amazon.com box on the bed.

As to the Artist's Statement, maybe he wants you to have the experience of needing to give an advance idea of what you want to do, because sometimes you would have to make a proposal to get someone to let you do a project. So, in that case you need to give them an idea of what you are thinking of doing, though not of course the finished project as it will be when done. If you think of it that way, maybe that makes more sense of it.

In regard to contacting Jesus, I can't help there.
Wish they had those little smiley faces to put into posts here.

Thank you, mommy. :)

Obviously, I'm still sick, but hopefully that'll be gone by tomorrow.

I see what you're getting at, but he's always had us write a paragraph or two about what we're planning to do for our projects in the past, much like what you're describing. That makes sense to me; having to do a one page draft of something I don't normally write until after the project itself is completely doesn't. :-\

Hehe, thanks. :) Love you!

I pray, too, for the aforementioned evidence. Double points if the look on his face clearly reads "OH.SHIT."

i'm sorry you're feeling icky, muffin. Try to take it easy for the nest few days--lots of vitamins and heating blanket and tea ;) Don't stress too much over all that nersty school business, it's over soon anyway ;)

Love you xoxo

Seriously, there needs to be at least one picture. I can't believe there's not even ONE. O_o

Am definitely doing just that; I'm still feeling icky today, but I think it may finally be dying down.

Love you, too. xoxox

I'm reading backwards, so I read your Edit first, and now J is pulling me out the door somewhere, but I just wanted to comment and add my vow of piety, to the sweet Baby Jesus, if such photographic evidence does exist and is shared.

In Jesus' blessy name,
Lily

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, honey. :( *hugs* Colds are the nastiest, most evil things in the world. Seriously, haha, I'm such a baby when I get a cold, because I'm CONVINCED that I'm dying. I hope you feel better very, very soon! *sends you lots of Dayquil, Nyquil, decongestants, tea, and all the essential get-better-soon items*

Blah, I totally know what you mean about drafts. They're so irritating. I'm like you, I write what comes to mind and then just edit as I go along. When my English class was reading The Great Gatsby, we had to do a final paper where we chose one theme from the book to write about and finished with a Theme Statement. Every single day, we had to have so many pages of a rough draft, a second draft, etc. It killed me, because I either didn't HAVE a draft or I had to scramble, because I just write the final paper and then fix it as I go along. Screw thought-webs and graphs, and all that 'organizational' crap ( ... )

Thank you, Kayla. :) *hugs back* I hope this ends soon, because feeling like this blows.

Gah, seriously, drafts just irritate me so much. :-P

I KNOW! ;D Unfortunately, no pictures seem to have popped up yet. :(

And hey, honey, you have nothing to apologize for, okay? *hugs* I love you, too!

Hey peaches, sorry that you are feeling rotten. I know what you mean about the irritation of drafts, but as am marketing/communications person, you will need to get used to it. Everything is a 'draft' and the approval processes and the processes are miserable. If I had a dollar for every time I had to give an outline of what I was going to do or prepare a draft version so that someone, somewhere could sign off, I'd be a millionaire by now! Oh yeah, and I would have gotten the projects done much earlier because I would have been DOING them instead of DRAFTING them. Hot toddies work well for colds too. Or at least you don't remember them as much. get well. Love and kisses.

Thank you, Joyce! :)

Gah, I know. :-\ I just find them so irritating and unhelpful, in terms of my own process of getting things done. Boo. Boo, I say.

Haha, my parents suggested a shot of whiskey, and at this point, I'm honestly considering it, if it would actually help. ;)

Love and kisses to you, too!
