Back to School:  My first class is tomorrow!  Well, technically, my first two classes.  I could practically explode from excitement/anxiousness/curiosity!  Class numero uno is the New Millennium Studies class, from 12:30 until 1:50PM, and then class numero dos is Intro. to Public Relations from 3:30 to 6:30PM.  I'll try to write something about how ( Read more... )

OOOOO Yay for pretty Mac's!

Let's see... tips... tips tips. Totally do the "Filevault" thing in system preferneces.

Instead of regular "Empty Trash" do "Secure Empty Trash" the computer will write over the files you just trashed so they cannot be recovered.

USE iCHAT. AIM will crash on you non-stop. If you need any help feel free to shoot me an IM at ricegirlsleeps (over AIM/iChat). Plus if you should want some Mac computer crack... I could help you out.

:)

Hit Command (the apple) F and search for any file on your computer! It is really simple. Drag and drop it where ever you want, it will copy the file for you. I pretty much know it all, so don't hesitate to use me for MAC info. :D

Now for the screen shot of my desktop...

Thank you, Krista!

I turned on the FileVault thing last night after seeing your comment, and I'll keep in mind what you said about the trash, too.

Thank you for the tips! And I like your desktop!

There is another way to 'secure trash' stuff, but it takes a hell of a lot longer.

But as I said, if you have any questions or need any help let me know and I'll see if I can give you the answer.

Good luck on your first day at college tomorrow! I hope everything goes well!

Oooh, pretty, pretty Mac! LOL. I know what you mean about hand-written notes; I've always been such a perfectionist, so when I write everything has to be absolutely perfect, and as a result I write very, very slow. People actually used to tease me about it in school. Typing is so much faster and easier. I think I may have to invest in my own laptop once I start college.

Good luck again! I hope you have a fantastic first day back.

Love you, honey!

Thank you so much, Kayla! It went pretty well today!

For me with notes, it's not so much that I'm a perfectionist about it, but I just can't write fast enough, and I've never been able to figure out how to come up with my own shorthand the way some people do. So typing is a lot easier for me.

Love you, too!

Good luck w/ the new classes! I miss going to class.

That Mac is so pretty I want to eat it! :) ha!

But as far as a name...I've recently discovered the word Cadence. Its the rhythm in which we experience things. I thought it was beautiful. But thats just me :) ha! But its a suggestion.

Or Donkey Kong. Because who doesn't want a Mac named Donkey Kong. :)

Thank you so much, Jen! I was really starting to miss going to class, too, so it's nice to be back.

And hehehe, I love it! *pets it*

I really like that word, too. I like the way it sounds when you say it, and I like the way it looks when you read it. Me and my geeky fascination with words, hehe. Thank you for the suggestion, I will definitely keep that in mind, though I actually may use that for my iPod that I got a couple weeks ago, because I still haven't come up with a name for it, either. In fact, yes, I will use that for the iPod! It's quite fitting, I think. :) Thank you!

And hahaha, Donkey Kong! I love it! :D
