Pretty-pretty! Very good job describing Helo's thought process. More!

Confused though - why did Boomer ask him to come and say that there's no one to talk to if Galen was going to be there?

Thanks. I always have fun inside Helo's head. ^_^

And I did think of that, and I my explanation is that this was before (or just when) Boomer and the Cheif started 'going steady' (as they say) and that Galen wasn't on her radar yet. That's why she would say she would have no one to talk to, because at that point she didn't know the Cheif well enough to make plans to hang out with him on a shore leave. I guess I was trying to imply that Boomer and Galen just happened to bump into each while Boomer was waiting for Helo, and they hit it off.

Or you could go with the answer that Boomer just wanted Helo to come out and have some fun. That she knew Galen was going to be there but just needed to give Helo a reason to come.

I hope you enjoyed it anyways though!

Oh, no worries, I very much enjoyed this. Good writing, good "voice," etc.

But the questions remain - I somehow don't see Sharon as being that affectionate with someone that just came on her radar... and I can't seem Sharon as being so insensitive as to abandon Helo for a dark corner of the room?

Thanks. I've always struggled with 'voice' in my writing, so that's nice to hear.

And I guess I wasn't saying that he just came on her radar in the sense that she had no idea who he was, more in the sense that she knew him as strictly the deck cheif and hadn't really talked to him at all out of the context of business, like she might have with Helo.

And I guess that's just how I view Sharon. To me she seems like she had very deep connections with the people around her and was very affectionate and fun. I guess it's an opinion though, since we didn't really see her before the attack.

And not that she was being insensitive to Helo, but more that it slipped her mind that he would be there. I think it was more that Sharon was viewing it as a shore leave that she would have fun and party with a lot of people, and Helo- because he was pretty much in love with her- veiwed it as a shore leave with Sharon.

I kind of agree with anonymous, but if this took place later, maybe a few months after both Helo and Sharon got to the Galactica it would be better. Boomer uses Helo as a cover soshe can go out with teh Chief, and Helo being Helo goes along with it justso that Boomer can be happy and he can be close to her, even though its torture to see her with Tyrol.

On another note, I have no doubt that Helo has been in love with Sharon since he first laid eyes on her, and of everyone of the characters he is the one that deep down got exactly what he wanted, Sharon Valerii. He just has to go through seven layers of hell to keep her and his daughter.

That's what I was thinking, that they had been Raptor partners for at least a little while. Meh, I'm not too worried about it.

Thanks for the feedback thought. I hope you enjoyed reading.

Thanks! And I way too much fun picturing what Helo would wear. I think Tahmoh can make just about anything look hot though. ^_^

Aww this one is so sad! Poor Helo :( Very nice look at his thoughts about Boomer before Caprica. I liked their conversation about Starbuck, too. Also I'm still such a Boomer/Chief shipper (don't shoot!) so I liked that part. Great job! ;)
