After dropping out of every possible challenge this year, I finally finished what would've been my troisbang fic. Loads of thanks for the encouraging comments on Tumblr and Formspring. Don't know if it would've gotten written otherwise. This one's probably a bit confusing in terms of tense and POV changes but those were the only ways I could convey ( Read more... )

That was awesome. I love the idea of them as a rock band. And poor doomed romantic Heechul. Very pretty indeed.

argh, diana.

i wanted to quote back my favourite things but i just got swept away :( i think one of the big things was that little phrases you used ("beauty in the decay" and "i would die for you" right after it) reminded me of lyrics from songs i know, and it kind of reinforced the idea of a band. ngl, this was confusing as hell, and i think i'll go back and watch/read nana again and take another go at reading this after, but i still maintain that i love your style and your way of describing with words.

This made me really happy :) I'm glad I was able to finish it, if only to feel good about not giving up halfway. If there's anything I learned, it's that words and images are two very different media and need to be dealt with accordingly XD; Thanks a lot, as always, Cath ♥

(re: structure of the story - all the past tense second-person POVs are flashbacks.)

I love that you stay true to the manga, but this time with characters I care more about. Nana's possessiveness over Ren is totally Heechul and he suits gothic!rock!girl to the max. My heart broke with what happened to Nana/Ren, same as what I'm feeling to what happened to Hanchul. In a way this fits. This is them.

Oh man I'm so relieved you thought that Heechul was Nana-esque :)! I tried to stick to the manga as closely as possible, but it was difficult with all the flashbacks. Seriously, Ren ;_;
