Ah. The spare descriptions of gritty life as a youth. I cringed a little at each of them XD

Hankyung put his arm around Heechul’s waist because no one else was there besides the boys and Jungsu, and he suspected they knew, or vice versa, he knew they suspected, and also because at that point he had already decided-without being aware of it consciously, there would be time for that later-he was going home and there was no harm in letting people know the truth before you leave them. I kept reading this line over and over, thinking about what it meant in the context of the following paragraph (the last in this section). And how easy it is to see, later, that he was looking at the issue in a perspective that was going to hurt him later in life. Or, well, at least cause massive amounts of confusion for Hankyung. It's such a young and selfish perspective. Telling the truth and fleeing the reprecussions, kind of. Fleeing, of sorts ( ... )

exactly :( I think it comes with the kind of mind that isn't used to introspection. Heechul forces him to be more than he is! or something like that.

I really wanted to capture how fleeting our emotions can be or, rather, how we manipulate them so that we appear to be making the right decisions. Some part of me thinks that Hankyung will look back on 2009/2010 and wonder, "Could I have handled that differently?" ah but will we ever know XD;
