Rain rain, go away

It's been raining for days and days. My world has turned into a rain forest, a bog, the animals and I are all completely over it. My latest barn visit proved an arena too soupy to work in, and pastures too slick for the horses to be out in. This is the wettest summer I can remember since being in the South.

I feel your pain. The horses are standing in mud. Tucker is stalled with either an injury or abscess which I am sure is from mud. If we dare pull the trailer out it comes at the cost of tearing up the lawn and possibly getting stuck. Freckles fell on the trails last weekend things were so slick. Yeah....can you tell I'm over it too.

Good luck with the "program". It sounds delicious and nutritious!

Hell, even the arena is too swampy to ride in at more than a walk safely. It's insanely frustrating. I could have gone out and tried to trailer out to a trail, but it would be either deep in mud or slick as snail snot. Or I could try for a very rocky trail where he'd be unhappy because he hates walking on gravel.

In theory, it's not going to rain for a few days, but those are weekdays and don't afford me the option of trailering out for a good ride, and besides that the ground is too wet to get my trailer off it's rather mild slope.

It is indeed the wettest I ever remember it being. I am beyond over it.

I'd heard that the moisture levels back East had reached a ridiculous level of absurdity. Sounds like you need to wring out your soul and hang it up on the highest clothesline you can find. Gads! :/
