Hello all! I decided that to help keep myself ready for Season 3 of Warehouse 13 (and to keep myself from going insane until that time) I would rewatch all of Season 2. And then I thought...well, you have a lot of thoughts on this season, why not write them down for the good people of the Warehouse 13 LJ comm. Because everyone wants to hear my ( Read more... )

I loved Age Before Beauty SO MUCH, I can't even. Maybe partly because I figured it was a camera in the first 30 seconds, but also for Claudia's plotline. I have been on that terribly awkward first date (and also, related to 13.1, had much better chemistry with someone when I wasn't looking at it as a date, but fortunately I wasn't in a relationship at the time ( ... )

The actors were so good at being awkward during that date sequence that I was half laughing/half cringing the entire time.

I don't think it's the fact that Romana's getting old that made her unattractive, she simply wasn't that good looking in my opinion. Although Damien probably would've been able to woo her with the camera's technique of not aging.

"13.1" was a fun episode all around, especially because Fargo and Claudia make such a great ship. I want to write a fanfic of those two together, once I get through all the other fanfics that I need to finish. :P

I liked "Around the Bend" more than "Burnout" simply because it took everything to a new level: the danger, the mystery, etc. But you're right, "Burnout" was great ep., too.

Well, obviously Romana's personality isn't doing her any favors. I think the fame went to her head (the designer implies she was a person worth knowing once upon a time), and the fact that she's getting older has her paranoid that she'll be chucked out of the limelight she thinks she deserves ANY SECOND NOW. All in all, not a person I'd want to meet, but I can see bits of why she acts the way she does.

Comepletely agree with everything said about 'Age Before Beauty.' A great episode of WH13 and one of the first I ever saw. (I was so confused about Claudia, intitally...she wasn't old enough to be an agent, and she was dating some awkward guy in town...I had no clue what her job was. I assumed she was related to Artie. :D) Though, in spite of the fact that it holds sentimental value, I go with 'Claudia' over this one ONLY because it was the intro to my favorite character. Also, I find it interesting that this was the first episode shot for the second season...so they got back into the groove, so to speak, right away. Props to the warehouse team ( ... )

In a way, Claudia is related to Artie - she's his surrogate daughter! But yeah, I would be confused on what she does too if I had just started watching the series.

The reason I love "Around the Bend" is because it's so hard to follow. It completely turns the story around on the audience and makes them question what they're seeing. It's the first time W13 has ever done that and I love the creativity behind it.

Mrs. F herself is awesome and disturbing.

"Burnout" is an awesome ep., but I feel like it's more of a Myka ep. than a Pete ep. "Burnout" deals with Myka trying to get over the fear of losing a partner, but "Around the Bend" is entirely Pete's show, and one of the first times we've seen him totally serious for a long period of time.

Oy ye como va right back at ya. ;)

Heh heh, yeah she is! Seriosuly, though, I assumed she had grown up at the Warehouse and that Artie was like...her uncle, or something. I was very, very confused (and I didn't help myself at all by watching the entire season backwards starting with episode 8. I don't recommend it.)

I agree that it was a very creative idea...I liked the artifact and I was completely surprised when they revealed the whole clacking thing. It was a really cool idea...I just didn't enjoy it like I enjoyed other episodes.

Yeah, Burnout is more Myka-centered. Around the Bend does show off another side of Pete which is great for character developement. :) I found the little 'family meeting' quite touching.

That's probably one of my favorite artifacts, right there! :D

I LOVED Age Before Beauty. Honestly, watching Joanne/Myka march down that runway...awesome. The grin, the pride when she did it...and Pete's worry...*sigh* I love it. LOVE it. It's the one I have on my iPod that I take everywhere.

Joanne Kelly OWNED that runway. She's an incredible actress who's made Myka an awesome sci-fi character.
