Lolwhut in One Act

Dec 02, 2011 17:59

What you are about to see is something that happened the other night.  It is, unfortunately, not subject to showing via screenie, because I didn't cap it; the WCS potential didn't really occur to me until now.  Instead, I will have to try to remember it as best I can.  Some of the details are really stuck in my head, but less important things are ( Read more... )

funny story, lolwhut, moon guard is made of fail, death knight, lore-crushing

Can't help but to think of the scene in Constatine (yes, the movie) where the devil pulls cancer out of Constatine's lungs to make sure he survives. Then again, that was -cool-, where this isn't.

That said, what kind of wounds are we talking about here? I can't imagine how you pull the "death" out of a stabwound or something like that.

Point being, this fails.

Constantine didn't have cancer yet. He had tar on his lungs that was going to shortly develop into cancer. That's what Satan ripped out.

This is just fucking stupid. Even if you were to "pull the death out of something" that would only work, in theory, if something was necrotizing.

It was cracked ribs. I might have been hamming a bit, but I was kind of thrown off my rhythm.

I think I've seen this one around, in the Cathedral. I might be wrong, as the Cathedral brings in all sorts of fail at any point in time, but I swear I've seen this one.

I've been criticized for being a druid in a primarily human/paladin guild. While it provides an interesting dynamic (my toon's healing against the healing of paladins and priests) to me and even to some of the others, I've been whacked with the "Lordaeron had no druids, you're a fail" once or twice.

The various types of healing are always fun to see, though. No one seems to stick to one. I've seen transferred essences, accelerated healing (which is what I do as a druid), answered prayers to a deity, and just plain "I heal you with my -mind-."

My favorite was always actually from a completely different game. In Gemstone IV, a MUD I used to play, the empath class would actually transfer your wounds over to them so they could heal themselves. I thought that was neat.

Yep, I remember that particular take on empaths from Star Trek. It makes healing an act of true sacrifice, doesn't it? I suspect this variety of "empathic healing" isn't very popular with Sues, though; it might mean scars on their pretty bodies.

My priest does this. Or did, when she was a priest. I admit that I did it for the fact of being 'super speshul' (I was young when I made her), but it eventually turned into something much more than that which helped her develop.

It was fun while it lasted, but I never play her anymore.

It actually reminded me of Black Leaf from that "D&D leads to Satanism" chick comic. Which made this even more hilarious for me.

I'm trying to think how that idea makes sense to anyone. And then I remember "Moon Guard" and it all becomes sadly clear.

Did anyone other me stop to realize that Deadleaf is the OP?

I mean, if you're gonna say something about the technique used to heal as, Deadleaf's DK, please, have a little fucking tact..

That being said, I think the idea is intriguing, but as someone who personally doesn't have her character be able to do anything that the class can't do; I wouldn't feel comfortable with letting my character be healed that way.

But it is interesting :o.

No, dear Munklesunkie, I'm not "Deadleaf." I don't like DKs IC or OOC, but if I ever played one, I wouldn't break lore, especially not with something as goofy as that.

Oh, I thought you'd thanked someone for liking the name 'Deadleaf'.

*laughs at the userpic, because it's so unexpectedly appropriate in expression!*

I did make up the name "Deadleaf". It's just a pseudonym for the character who I am not. I figured it was better to do that because I didn't get pix, so I couldn't show first-hand evidence of exactly what happened.

Sorry for the confusion!
