As soon as I saw this my first thought was "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Now those half-dragons/new dragon aspect whatevers will have NO power!"

That is, until my roommate went "No... they'll just ignore it like always."

I saw it and thought, "Oh boy, how many ex-dragon RPers do we get to look forward to?"

We're going to see fewer dragon RPers and more "mortals ascending to take their place." Lots of people thought Thrall was going to become the Earthwarder, even though he wasn't a dragon.

You wait and see. I'm predicting a "new Earthwarder" or "new Lifebinder" will be posted here within the next two months.

This cut scene makes me so fucking upset with World of Warcraft. What happened to them governing the various powers of the world? What happened to them helping to stand against the corruption of the Old Gods and the onslaught of the Burning Legion?

Sargeras is brooding on his throne made of children's skulls and held together by your broken dreams somewhere in the Twisting Nether. Suddenly, a random imp waddles up and informs him that the warlock who has been using him for casting extra spells just helped kill Deathwing and that the Aspects are now mortal.

He will then stand up, declare the armies be assembled, then proceed to bring down the rapehammer on a now vulnerable Azeroth.

Yeah, our guild chat dedicated like an hour to just listing off every horrible thing that is going to buttfuck Azeroth against a wall.

Our greatest curiosity was with what the heck is going to happen with timelines now. There will be no guardians of time. But people have clearly started to dabble with time travel- hell, they've thrown mages this entire damn Doctor theme. So who's going to keep that shit straight?

I don't think anyone will keep it straight-I think this is sort of like a hard reset on all those time lines or something.

Well, I was never fond of the Bronze Flight's attitude of "But this is how it worked before, and it must not change!"

Still, now we're replacing DragonSues with Timey-Wimey Sues. I don't think this is going to be a net positive.

I swear to this day that the writers for Blizzard and Warcraft just have magic 8 balls and some mad libs labelled 'lore changes and story progression' and then get really drunk and utilize said tools. That is the only answer I have.

I'm going to miss having Dragon aspects with...y'know, actual powers. WoW is just not the same without its demigods.

On the bright side, though, we've still got plenty of Old Gods left. Well, one. Well...we have Sargeras?

Thrall babies. Siiiiigh.

I wonder why they bothered making a new Blue aspect if they were just going to rip away his power anyways.

Maybe magic just needed a temporary guardian. Like a magic babysitter.

Okay, Magic, your babysitter, Kalec is here. Now be in bed by the Dawning of the Age of Mortals, and don't destroy the world in the process, okay?

Kalec, you'll get paid $10 for your efforts, but you can watch HBO or Showtime, and have anything in the fridge, and call your girlfriend if you want. Just make sure Magic takes a bath before bedtime."
