Don't You Wish Your Viscountess Was Hot Like Her?

Oct 08, 2011 20:56

As always, many apologies if this flag has been here before. I really wouldn't be surprised if it has been and a vaguely remember having a conversation on whether Viscount was something that had made its way into Human nobility. And if she hasn't been, well...

Would You Like Some Prose With All That Purple? )

look at me, flagrsp, moon guard is made of fail, scarlet crusade, look at moi, purple prose, wall of text, noble, pretty princess

I vaguely recall a rather large shitstorm that happened with this character on RPL. I'd look for the post, but I'm a bit busy at the moment. There was something about this character being some kind of parody, and the person who played the character came and defended the crap out of it.

I can't really remember. I just remember being very tired after reading the RPL post about this character.

Also, there is no way that any of my characters would care enough about this person to examine them with any ounce of the detail listed here, parody/satire/bran muffin or not.

I can't believe this is parody, it just reads as something that's meant to be taken seriously. I might be remembering it from RPL. I'll have to go hunt it up.

I'm working my way through it now, but after reading the version posted on RPL and this one, I still don't think it's satire. Regardless of the author's repeated "It's satire and you're just too stupid to get it" argument, all I get out of it is someone using arguable literary devices as their bastion of butthurt.

Did anyone else immediately think of Madeleine Albright when you first saw her name? >.< I couldn't go much further than the first 4 paragraphs. Too much drivel.

FACIAL SYMMETRY IS UNATTRACTIVE.

WHY DO PEOPLE NOT REALIZE THIS.

It really is. Back when I was in college, I saw a study that the psych department did where they showed pictures of people that were considered attractive (Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, ect.) in both their original version and photoshopped symmetry. It was fascinating how many people saw the photoshopped images and went "Eeeeuugh..."

I've never seen pictures, but that just sounds ALL KINDS of weird. There are some things that don't need symmetry, people...

"5'10, 138lbs" *Ties her down and force-feeds her a cheeseburger*"

..Is that weight really so outlandish? I'm about the same height and weight IRL.

And I think their 'current' sums up pretty well how they feel about their own character! I'll just try to get my face out of my palm now.
being in love with your own character is bad y'all

As a woman that's 5'6" and by doctor's standards should be in the 140s at a bare minimum, I wouldn't call this weight outlandish if she described herself as thin all around, but she's got "full" breasts, "delectable" hips, and a "well shaped" rump. Yes, I will say that these are not descriptors that technically mean "large", but let's face it, that's how they're normally used, and every woman on the planet knows that bewbies and asses have more weight than someone would think. If you're big on the curves but that weight, it makes me think that a high calorie meal is needed.

Oh, I dont disagree she should be heavier! Being a paladin and all.. and the whole.. curvy thing. Yeah.
But the excerpt you used said nothing about her 'full breasts' or 'wellshaped arse', and just suggested you thought anyone at that height/weight should eat more, is all.

I agree with the "bigger hips/breasts = more weight", but that's more a question of logic than "*Force-feeds her a cheeseburger*".

Never ceases to amuse me how people can say things like that and get away with it; I'm told all the time (most of the time in jest, but that's beyond the point) to "eat more," or simply to eat, but in jest or otherwise, me telling a larger person to eat less or not eat would be a HUGE taboo.

The only thing good with this one is that she's not 18.

The rest can go down the shitter imo.
