It needs to be in the flag so that he can find the right people to ERP with, obviously.

Otherwise? Bleargh. Terrible flag is terrible.

It always throws me off when sexual orientation, or any other type of preference, is put in the physical description of a flag. I can see it in the history tab, if it's relevant, but physical? Urg.

And apparently this guy has never seen a nose that's crooked from being broken. "Charming" is hardly the word I would use. Neither is "ripening" for hinting that you're moving into middle age. That word is reserved for women that are preggers and addicted to the smell of purple crayon.

Deathy, who knows several non-heterosexual murlocs and quite enjoys their company, wants nothing to do with this git.

He does, however, think setting him on fire and watching him scream and run about flailing would be quite amusing.

We do not need to know your orientation right off the bat. Let us find out about it and be intrigued or squicked as the reaction requires.

Though Deathy will give this one points for telling us which reaction we needed to feel right off the bat.

ERP bait isn't the -only- reason people put a sexual orientation in their flag. Some people have grown accustomed to a 'quick stats' intro to their flag which includes much of the stuff you'd see on someone's facebook home page. That being said, your RP flag isn't your facebook or one for your character. Its purpose is not to be a tell all to everyone. It is -only- there to let us know variations from a character model. I -had- in my dwarf lady's flag an OOC side note stating that I'm not interested in outter species or homosexual in nature encounters, it was more for the *shudders* "female" draenei that began hanging out in Stormwind and sending me whispers. Even that though, was OOC and at the end of my flag and it no longer exists.

I don't see why adding someone's sexual orientation is so important in defining a character or even added into a physical description.

It's so the yaoi fangirls can find other yaoi fangirls with ease.
