How can your voice be like a 'Red rose flower'? Or 'Sweet candy treats'? Seriously people D: I love comparisons! I really do! But sometimes they just don't make sense. Why not like 'The soft chime of a silver bell' or 'Soft and lilting like a little bird' as cliche as they are?

How not to do it: "Her voice is like a red rose flower and it maeks you calm and happy even if your character wouldn't react like that."

...That point aside, her description thereof puts me in mind of a Fourth of July parade I attended where the people on the floats threw hard candy. When I read this, should I be imagining being pelted with Jolly Ranchers and beaten about the face with a bouquet?
