[Locked to the Doctor and Elashte] Note A73

The plague cure's been synthesized. Direct application to one infected human has resulted in a marked improvement of her condition, and I estimate that within 1.376 days she'll be symptom-free. Exposing her to another infected human resulted in improvement in subject B as well; tests scan the antibodies in her blood. The cure is aerosolised, ( Read more... )

Good. Very good. Can we get a sample of it to the hotel? As soon as possible?

And then, you know, to various major population centers, obviously. How soon can that happen? And can I help at all?

The microhabitat chamber is synthesising more at an acceptable rate. Elashte's been using common syringes to extract it through a filtration forcefield; he's packing doses in some sort of primitive refrigeration chamber. You'll have to ask him what he's doing with them.

I've earmarked five doses for the Hotel, ten each for the clinics in Chicago and the surrounding area, and I'll be sending packs of fifty doses to major world hospitals and the CDC and ECDC. I've had to write up a comprehensive pile of nonsense regarding the development; no one would be keen to apply it if they didn't believe where it came from, and even with a plague going on, they'd hesitate to expose anyone to a genetically-engineered cure. My apologies, Ms. Rani. (Hopefully the cure will have spread by the time anyone notices that my 'experiments' are not repeatable in a laboratory setting.)

Still, I suppose that if no one would believe the origins of this plague, it's only fair that no one should believe the origin of the cure.

I have no need for my work to be recognised by human agencies. Do what you need.
