Like so many other days, Briseis is to be found walking the edges of this lonely sea, her bare feet leaving a silent trail for a short length behind; every so often, the wavelets wash around her ankles and erase all trace of her presence. Achilles is out walking as well (he never really liked the 'Mansion' much anyways, it's too closed-in), and eventually makes his way to the sea, pausing when he sees a familiar figure.

"Briseis!" He calls her name, just loud enough to be heard over the waves, then walks toward her, slowly.

She hears her name - somewhere, in the back of her mind, it registers, but without having heard another human voice in so many days, it takes some moments for the recognition to pass into her first level of awareness.

"Achilles," she says softly, and her steps slow to a halt, though she doesn't turn around, waiting for him to come to her.

Which he does, jogging up to her and pausing to look out at the waves, then turns to her with a faint smile.

"Hello, Briseis."

"Hello," she answers in turn, refusing to look up, keeping her eyes downcast - downcast, but not demure, giving the impression that she is staring at the damp sand because it is where her attention must now be, not out of any feeling of inferiority to the uncertain hero at her side.
