don't worry man, it's not the end.
so far, there are already 3 lawsuits challenging it. and if they manage to rule it retroactive, there will be thousands of lawsuits.
it's incredibly shameful that it did not pass and I am so saddened that it happened, but you know it is not over!

it's a bitter victory i s'pose. just a few minutes ago i had to stop myself from getting into a full on shouting match with my dad about the purpose of marriage... i asked him what he would do if he found any of his kids were gay.. and he shut up.
