A day to remember in Takarazuka history

Feb 14, 2012 01:47

...And someday, 20 years from now, fans will argue whether things were crazier in the early 2000s (Shin-Senka) or right before the 100th anniversary (role-switching shenanigans galore!)

*laughs and shakes head* I did call it though :P

(Mixed feelings on Juliette, but congratulations Chapi-chan ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥)

Or by then the fans are so used to changes that they will wonder how fans survived in the boring periods when everything looked like it followed a plan. :-)

When was that? *scratches head*
I think just like every other period, it will seem all very logical in retrospect, particularly to those who weren't there at the time. ;)

I suspect you're right. After all, the '70ies had the whole start of the top star era, the '80ies looks kind of calm but had Haruna Yuri going into Senka after being top star which was a one off until Tom 20 years later, the '90ies had Amami Yuuki as ken 7 top and the birth of a new troupe, the '00 had shin Senka. Being a Zuka fan is probably always to live in interesting times.

LOL, this is just amusing to me. First off, congrats on the good call:-). Second, do you think there will ever be a time when the company will do away with the top star system and instead pick leads based on merit and how well the "fit" the characters?

Third, it seems like Hankyu is moving toward having younger top stars. I wonder if this has anything to do with socio-cultural reasons like Japan's low birth-rate, older age at which women get married, or even just Japan's global economic "decline" even though it's still part of the top 5 economies in the world. Hopefully not...it seems awfully far-fetch.

The only role I'm possessive of is the Nurse.
Am quite excited to see Masaki's Romeo.
Going to pretend Mirio is not also Romeo.
