...Huh. Well, based only on rumor and her dinner show title I would have put good money on Tom retiring at the end of the year, but... It looks like she's not appearing in Hoshigumi's next show after all? So much for that theory. ^_^;;;

Still, argh. Takarazuka would put on a full-length buyou show right after I leave

Heh, well, if Teffy has her way either I'll be going to the east coast at some point, or she'll have to come visit me in the west... It'd be cool to have a group meet-up, though. ^^

The buyou show sounds amazing - it's been too long since a Star buyou :) I'm especially surprised Tom isn't in it since Sakai-sensei directed what, all her dinner shows?

Now I'm really hoping my October/November trip happens...

So glad my trip is scheduled for this Hoshi run! :D I've been dying to see them do a traditional thing ever since Mariko made me smitten on Nihonmono. She made me cry with how pretty her dancing was. I'd love to see if Chie is as good at that as she is at modern.

Random question - how long *have* you been in Japan? It's going to be so odd to think of you not being in Japan ^^;

*laughs* Like my friend said, a little over two years -- with this job. I was here in the summer of '07 with a different job, and before that I did a study abroad for 9 months... It was during that first trip to Japan that I discovered Takarazuka. :)

But yeah, it's a little weird for ME to think of myself not being in Japan, too...

I would have put good money on Tom retiring at the end of the year I've kind of assumed that she will slowly fade out of performances but not retire since my impression of performers who are board members is that they literally die on the job. But my sample of people to base that assumption on is rather small.
