Are you sure about that? I always got the impression that Hankyu tends to announce musumeyaku top stars a little later than otokoyaku top stars.
Even if, I'll pray now for Mimi and keep hoping that it will be her. :)

I'm still rather curious in terms of Nibante... I don't really see Chigi jumping that far so soon, and if Kitarou would have had any lead so far at all, I would be so sure that she'd be chosen... and if there should be a transfer, it would most likely have to be someone who's either 85th or 86th class... hm.
Anyway, I love my kumi. :DDDD

Yuuhi & Sumika = both transfers = announced together.

Kiriyan & Marimo = separate troupes = announced separately.

Ume-chan was also announced separately, and Asuka, but I don't remember about Tonami...

Tonami was announced later than Mizu, at least one month I think. But she was in another kumi back then.
Hm... frankly said, I guess I will just ignore the chance that it might be anyone else and still go with Mimi.

Kimu is a well-deserved top I think and I've got "worried" about Tomu for a bit. I'm so done with top transfers at the moment. So I hope the best for Yukigumi's next musumeyaku top.

I'm now terribly curious about nibante. Roles have not been going by ranking, and if we go by postcards, it's Chigi... but Koma was given more stage time in Solferino/Carnevale. I don't get you, Hankyu. (I also don't get the overlooking of Hiromi.)

Really, you thought so? I mean I know Koma had a singing part, but Chigi had all the baton-twirling and the drag bit in the revue. When they sang together on the ginkyou, I thought they were pretty equal.

For the record, though, I think postcards say a lot.

I also don't get the overlooking of Hiromi.

That, unfortunately, seems to have been the plan all along with her transfer to Yukigumi. :\

It's possible I only thought so because (Mizu aside) Koma is my current favorite Yukigumi 'sienne, so I was looking at her a lot. *laughs* Chigi could have been on stage just as much, but my eyes were elsewhere. I let her baton twirling slip my mind. You're right. Thinking without a bias, they were pretty equal.

I do wonder about Yukigumi's new nibante. Chigi (who I haven't seen in anything) would seem to be the one most promoted, but a lot of people on other LJs comment that they'd rather not have it be her...

I hope that's not what you base your opinions on ;______; I understand that Yukigumi fans wouldn't necessarily like Chigi for moving in, and admittedly I have a "troupe bias" in my own way as well. But I think there's a difference between genuinely finding or not finding merit in someone's performances, and just petty jealousy.

I hope you find out more about Chigi, maybe even something you like :)

Quite the reverse - I like what I've seen of her (well, a couple of clips), and was hoping for your opinion of her skills, since she's Cosmos in origin :) I'm of the opinion that Yuki's a bit thinned out at the moment (all those retirements!), and I'm very happy that for example, they got the cream of the 96ths.

(And I'm sorry if it came out with a different inflection than I intended. English isn't my first language, and when I'm busy, nuances sometimes escape me.)

Chigi... well, I'll say first that she's not an amazing singer. ^^;;; But she can dance, and her acting is solid -- she's got a big presence packed into a small body. ;) But I almost think Kimu, who's not terribly tall herself, might end up with a short partner and nibante?

Back to Chigi, she tended to do a lot of upbeat / goofy characters in Soragumi, but I think especially with the Bow lead Yukigeshiki they're letting her test herself and try more things. That show was great ♥
