"Aibou" Voice Post Review

Two months ago I made a short post raving about Aibou with a promise to write a full review later.

Tonight I fulfill that promise with seven voice posts totaling about 1 hour and 15 minutes of blather about this show :D

I am still of the opinion these should be a regular feature :) Extremely entertaining, and useful should I ever get a dvd of Aibou (which is starting to look intriguing). I had the same opinion of Matobun after I saw her in Me and My Girl vs things like Legend - she's so much happier playing a quirky fun character, someone with more flexibility than a standard top role.

If ever I could strike a balance between blathering too much and too little ^^;; But still, I do hesitate to share my voice on a regular basis; it just feels strange... On the other hand, with people being so supportive about it... :)

In any case, comments like "extremely entertaining and useful" are always appreciated ♥

I see you weren't deterred from making these due to my insistence to watch clips, last night. ;) These were a joy to listen to, and return me to my fond memories of my own experience seeing Aibou. And I am in agreement with much of what you said, other than your ambivalence towards Sou (which may, after all, just be a product of Sexy Beam on my end). Such a full, satisfying, balanced show this one was.

Okay, from your description that sequence with Ayane and Miwacchi was seriously creepy! (And somewhat pushing the boundaries for Zuka, even if nothing was shown) I was relieved when that other thing was revealed -_- (trying to be vague so as to not be spoilery) That being said, I'm glad Ayane-chan got a good role <3

Anyway, from your description it sounds like a good chunk of the cast got fun things to do, which is especially impressive given how much of star-tracked hanagumi was in Aibou as opposed to Bund/Neon Shanghai. Anyway, I agree with you about liking two-act shows for this reason.

Re: Ichika, I had always considered her off the star track, given that she never had a shinko lead. It sounds like this time her role was small, but she's done decently in the past. Here's hoping she sticks around for a while <3
