ah, jesus camp. i was tempted to watch it when it came out, but i think i wasn't sure whether it would be worth my strong feelings of :\\\\\ at what was going on. i hate religious indoctrination and would probably have spent most of the movie feeling disgusted. (i would be interested to hear your personal beliefs, for what it's worth, though don't let me change your mind re: writing them up.)

hope you get better soon! the medicine is fascinating. and congrats re: headphones and other loot and FOOOOOOOD yay.

i wonder if kampong lorong buangkok will be alive come summer! i am so bad at visiting places which i say i will visit 'someday'.

It's definitely a show that should incite rather strong emotions/reactions among normal people... I honestly would find it hard to say "enjoy it" - I forgot to mention, I had to watch it over two days and stop the video frequently because it was just too much for me in one go. If you ever feel masochistic for some reason perhaps...

re: religious beliefs, it's too long for a comment, but should someone get into another conversation with me about this kind of stuff maybe I will really write one while I'm on a roll.

And I think I'm almost OK now - just the last undying embers of a sore throat.

I think it might be still around in summer! But probably not next summer I guess - I dunno. They might decide to 'conserve' it and you know how that turns out. If I'm around I will personally drag you there ;)
It's a real pity though, the Seletar Airbase is kind of no more, most of the residents had to move out by the end of last year and they've started expunging the roads... :(

eep. well, we'll see. :D;;

fair enough. like i said, no worries; was just hand-raising to indicate potential interest.

recovery is good. :)

erk. i can't seem them conserving it, though, since they don't seem to care about conserving things which aren't colonial era... though i don't know their specific plans for pulau ubin, so who knows. :\
my commiserations re: seletar.

Just wanted to rejoin at a late moment and say - looks like I got misinformed/I misunderstood; seems like the landowner just wasn't aware of any explicit orders from the government but the place is definitely going soon... not long ago there was a TNP article about the place, and I just went to my brother's place yesterday, his flat overlooks the place and while I didn't go visit, they're building more flats very close to the village and well... I'm not so sure it'll be around come summertime after all :(

Sigh. Clementi is so changed, this place is going (my brother's flat has no view now, whee), and Seletar's being destroyed, no wonder people have no attachments to this country left.

Yeah, I couldn't help but think it was awfully interesting while making it so I decided to talk about it :D It's an old old recipe.

OMG I haet you guys and your history of rock lessons!!! ;_; I wish I could go for incredibly fun courses like that. KUDOS TO YOUR TEACHER FOR COVERING PROGRESSIVE ROCK THOUGH. A lot of rock retrospectives like to pretend it didn't exist because frankly it can seem embarrassing (20-minute songs with 10-minute instrumental bits ftw? And pot produces most delightfully incomprehensible lyrics.) It's a relatively niche genre even now ( ... )

a good pair of headphones can never be underestimated! in fact, right now i'm using a cheapo pair of sony 'phones at a cafe, instead of my sennheisers, which i keep at home so i don't accidentally break them. and, if you put yes-related content behind a cut, i promise to read it : D

Absolutely. I've been using only headphones to listen to music since like 2005 or so, and having used decent cans it's impossible to return to cheapo stuff. I was thinking of getting a pair of PX-100s for taking outside but then I realized I still don't have a portable music player so why bother...

You guys are totally teasing me about this Yes thing, I'm going to have to think over it.
...But they're soooo embarrassing! Right now in particular. Damn. I'll leave it to my mood.

Yay for headphones! Um detachable wire? so it's a wireless headphone??

I've never watched Dog of Flanders, but from the references I got from Lucky Star, it seems to be a sob story that makes true anime fans cry (? well that's what Konata said...). Will have to check it out some day.

Get well soon! I sneezes a lot due to allergies. I used to carry tissue in my pockets, until I forgot to get them out before I put my clothes in the washer and then my clothes would have tissue paper sticking onto them all over -___-

Nah it's not wireless, but you can detach the wire (after pressing and pulling VERY HARD so it won't come out by accident) so you can replace it if it's broken or store them separately or whatever...

Yeah, it is a sob story - but if you have the patience to go through 52+ episodes I strongly suggest watching the TV series instead. It made my art teacher cry!!!11 (when he was a kid, at least) It's definitely an old classic for those who've grown up with it.

I'm fine now, thankfully! BUT OMG I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - I stopped carrying tissue in my pockets because of exactly the same reason. I HATE picking the little pieces off...
