Pfft, whatevs. Call me when you've woken yourself up by making crazed dinosaur roars of delight and epically loud NOM NOM NOM noises because you dreamed you were a horrible monster stomping cities and hungrily devouring tasty humans.
ALSO! I don't think there is anything that suggests Sherlock is gay but if he was he wouldn't fancy John [Watson].
This is the stupidest statement in the history of stupid statements and I now srsly question this man's ability to write this show correctly.

IKR I AM GRUMPY AND UNIMPRESSED. except that the first episode really was very very good so you should watch it anyway. just watch it and then raise your eye sceptically at Moffatt and go "Sherlock wouldn't fancy John? REALLY NOW?"

it just vexes me so immensely when a show's writers do not seem to know their characters at ALL. UGH. I mean, one of the main threads that has followed through all adaptations of Sherlock Holmes is the profound emotional connection/amount of mutual respect between Watson and Holmes. To say "oh yeah, Holmes isn't gay, but if he WAS, he would never fancy the only human being with whom he can successfully interact" just smacks of willful ignorance at best and homophobia at worst, idk.
OIC from wiki that he is the writer from Coupling, an extremely heterosexist show. Meh.
