also I like long walks on the beach

THERE'S THAT MEME. That one. The sharing of vital information etc. It's been something like nineteen months since the last time it did the rounds (I hunted my last one down after I'd filled in the answers this time round, to see what had changed), so here we go.

1. First Name: Tree, for the purposes of this exercise. (It’s not my real name. My parents may be ultra-liberal bleeding-hearted eco-warriors, but they aren’t actually hippies.)

2. Age: 20

3. Location: Falmouth, Cornwall at uni; Swindon, Wiltshire at home. Both in the UK, naturally.

4. Occupation: Student. I occupy my bed. I occupy my favourite table in my local Caffe Nero. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.

5. Partner: None. I have an epic crush on my Male BFF which sometimes feel like it might be reciprocated, but seeing as we live a six/seven hour drive apart for a large portion of the year I can’t imagine anything’s ever going to happen about it.

6. Kids: Not a sausage. Hopefully one day, though! I ♥ babies.

7. Brothers/Sisters: One brother, Steve, 22. He’s a pretty cool cat. We’re not as close as we used to be, but we have our moments, although sometimes I am bitter because the bastard inherited all my family’s musical ability genes and LEFT NONE FOR ME.

8. Pets: Not one. SOB. I want cats and dogs and fluffy flopsy cuddly things :(

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:

i. I’m in the second year of my English with Creative Writing degree, so that’s something I talk about a lot. I’m really trying to push myself out of the habit of doing everything at the very last minute and just never really working as hard as I’m capable of. So far, with mixed results.

ii. I have some really bad anxiety problems which get the better of me more often than not. Another habit I’m trying/failing to break. Occasionally I make posts asking people to reassure me about seemingly innocuous things, but mostly it’s between myself and my counsellor.

iii. Family are a constant big thing. I MISS THEM WHEN I’M GONE. One of my aunts went through a recession crisis over the summer, so I spent a lot of time babysitting my cousin Alicia/Lisa for her. Obviously now I’m down at uni I don’t talk about them much, but the Christmas holidays aren’t far away! There are also the strained relations with my bipolar nan, which I bitch about sometimes, and some other cousins who have had/are having BABIES.

iv. Fandom. I like how I sneaked this in last as if it is ~oh just an afterthought~ HAHA NO. I ♥ fandom. I’ve been obsessed for ten years and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon! Currently, it’s all SPN/J2 all the time, obviously, but one day I will move on - sob - and drag as many of you with me as I possibly can.

10. Parents: I have a mum called Mum and a dad called Dad. They met when Mum was 18 and Dad was 20 and were married four/five years later, so now I have a bit of an ‘OH GOD I’M ALREADY OLDER THAN MY MUM WAS’ complex at times. They’ve been married for 30 years and they’re awesome people and we’re very close - but not in a Gilmore Girls kind of way. We’re more likely to mock each other than to kiss each other’s foreheads. Also, nobody in this family talks that fast.

11. Who are some of your closest friends? barthi is my forever girl. authorial is My Little Internet Friend. (who knew that a pre-teen friendship formed on the CBBC Newsround message boards would grow to SPAN THE AGES?)

AND I HATE EVERYONE ELSE.

(jk jk. You know who you are ♥)

OKAY, BACK TO STARING AT THE FIRST FEW PAGES OF FRANKENSTEIN.

rl: fal, rl: boring things, rl: my ridiculous degree, rl: family, rl (it happens sometimes), meme, procrastination viking
