It was so strange to live in a place where so many people cohabited. Their apartment building had never been particularly full and even then, people ignored them almost as though they weren't there: 'kids' or 'the hired help' depending on whether they were just heading to work or if they were doing something Grandmother had asked them to do.

Here? There were open rooms, open doors--

Like a lab rat submitted to new stimuli, Fiona peered through the doorway at the girl on the bed.

Claire managed to smile when she noticed the girl. "Hello," she said. "Would you like to come in?"

She looked a little startled at the address but nodded and slipped in the door, leaving it as it had been.

"Hello," she offered curiously, "I don't think we met."

Priestly was dressed for running rather than for shock value, so his hair wasn't spiked up and dyed just yet, instead pulled back into a small, narrow ponytail that showed off the shaved sides of his head. He peeked into the room.

"Oh, hey. You must be Dinah's new roommate?"

"Likewise," Claire said. "I'm not sure where Dinah is, but I don't think she's gone far. You're welcome to come in and wait for her."

Dinah came back mid-morning, her hair wet, and smiled at Claire, than gave her a guilty look. "Morning! I went swimming in the pool downstairs. You were still asleep, so I didn't want to wake you up when I left."

"I kinda guessed. I totally crashed, my first night here. So many people, and emotional overload on top of it." Dinah gave her a sympathetic look, and sat down, continuing to dry her hair. "Anybody come by?"
