[He hasn't heard music over the journal for quite some time. It was a surprise to hear someone singing, especially such a powerful sounding song.]

That's quite a voice you've got there! But what do ya mean by it's not working? Sounded fine ta me.

[... What. She didn't set her journal to record that.

...

Oh. She left it open. ... Whoops. Well, whatever. It's not like that was something no one was supposed to hear. So, after a brief pause of "/what", she'll head over to the journal to respond.]

Ah ... That song has a very specific function. However, I couldn't get it to work, even after singing the whole thing.

Oh! Ya mean it's some sort of magical song? You sing and something happens? [Although..]

I don't recognize that language you were singin' in... I thought the journal translated everything?

That's close enough. [It's much, much more complicated than that, but ... well. She'd have to explain HD-Waves and song servers and symphonic energy and ... just. No. Sorry Raven :(

... But that last thing--] ... You couldn't understand it? ... How strange. I thought it would've translated that as well ...

[He shakes his head, but it's not like she can see that...]

Nope, couldn't understand a word of it. Sounded like some sort of ancient language ta me.

Perhaps it had something to do with the way I used it. Or, perhaps it's because it is not the language I speak normally ...

Oh! So if ya speak a language you don't usually speak, then it won't translate it?

I don't know. It seems like one of the most likely reasons, though.

Huh, it's still weird. I was talkin' to a lass not long ago about other languages, said it'd be difficult ta learn any in Luceti because it translates... but if it doesn't- then what were ya singin' about?

That song is about asking for cooperation from the world itself ... Or in other words, it attempts to open lines of communication between myself and the planet.

Communication between yourself and the planet? [He'd heard of things like that before, but seeing someone attempt such a thing here was sort of weird.]

Considerin' ya said it didn't work... I guess it doesn't work that way. Why don't you try contactin' the filial spirits? Maybe they can help?

That isn't likely. That song can only be processed by my Tower, which was why it didn't work. [ ... ] Singing it here was my way of ensuring Luceti has nothing to do with my own world.

How could I have known for sure? For all I knew, this entire place could have been a figment of someone's imagination. I had to have proof of my own.

A figment of someone's imagination? [Well... that's a new one.] It could still be, ya wouldn't know~

[... That is true. Hrm.]

... It's possible. However, there is only so much I can do. I am not a scientist, nor do I know all the signs to look for in a situation like this.

[... She's still looking at you kind of funny, Raven. Like she's trying to see through you via the journal.]
