It's not really a matter of flirtation. When he brings up hot chicks, he's testing you to see what your response is. He's trying to make you jealous of his attention when he ignores you. In addition to that, he knows he has to work harder to gain the attention of others when he's with you, which is a challenge he can't ignore due to the competitive drive instilled in most men regardless of their sexuality.
