Lindsey had been a good little lawyer-in-training all summer. Now classes had started up again and he was back to being a good little law student. And since he'd been good and working overtime and generally buttering up his superiors he'd managed to secure Monday as a day off. He already had it off from classes and now he didn't have to work either

Piper was about to shut down her laptop for the night when the email arrived. She sent a quick reply first.

Subject: Re: Long Weekend?

Sounds good! I happen to have Monday off, too. Work has been crazy, so I'm looking forward to it. I promise not to complain too much about it. Also, I am sure bribing can be arranged. Bacon brownies always work. So no need to write emo songs. Ever.
