Andrew left the curtain to his little alcove open and plopped down on the bed. He figured it was time to stop bothering John and face up to things, so he brought his stuff with him.

Liir wasn't sure if this was wise or even if he should be approaching him, considering, but he had to do something and the note kept on glaring at him from where he'd put it beside his bed.

Unfortunately, being Liir, it was very close to being literal glaring.

And so edging around the divide between their alcoves, he leaned down and put what he'd written onto the curtain line, hoping that Andrew would understand that he was trying to respect his boundaries even as, in a way, he was breaking them.

He took a couple of seconds to look at Andrew, to make sure he was all right. He wouldn't stay long, probably shouldn't have even done this, but hopefully Andrew wouldn't be upset.

Sadly, he felt just a little better seeing him. What did that say about the whole mess?

Andrew turned at the slight rustle, blinked a few times before setting down the poster in his hands. "I was just thinking," he said as he moved to take a seat on the bed, "about talking mice."

"I'm no Mouse," he admitted. He was more still than a Mouse or a mouse, his fingers yet around the paper that was only half put down.

"They have a height qualification. I've checked."

A terrible joke, but it was all that would come out.

Andrew snorted, more out of nervousness than actual humor, but still, the attempt at a joke was appreciated. His hands were clasped tightly in his lap, and he wanted to concentrate on them very intently for some reason, but he kept stealing glances over towards Liir.

"So, um, the island moved again," he said, taking the small talk route out of desperation.
